Dr. Constantine Hering is also famous as the father of Homoeopathy in America. He was born on 1 st January, 1800 in Oschath city in Saxony state. He was very much interested in Medicine and when he was about 17 years of age, he joined the University of Leipsic. He got the degree of M.D. from the University of Wuerzburg. He came in contact with Dr. Henrich Robbi. Dr. Robbi was an honour of hospital also. Being an allopathic physician, he was against Hahnemann and his new system of treatment.
Criticism against Homoeopathy and Hahnemann was at its worst condition in 1821. At this time Dr. Robbi was asked to write a book against Homoeopathy and Hahnemann by Mr. C. Baumgartner, an owner of publishing house. But due to lack of time Dr. Robbi gave this work to Dr. Hering. Dr. Hering was very much happy after getting this work. He finished this work by end of 1822. But while he was completing this work, he noticed the incidence of cinchona bark. He tried to do it again and result was same at this time also. Dr. Hering then studied Homoeopathic Materia Medica also and that book against Homoeopathy never saw the light of the day till date.
In 1824, once he was dissecting a dead body, he got injury in his finger which later became gangrenous and all the treatment was failed. Then Dr. Hering tried Homoeopathy and he was cured by Medicine Arsenic Alb. Dr. Hering was surprised and after this incident he was greatly interested in Homoeopathy. He started practicing Homoeopathy in West Indies. He was died in 1880. In this way he was converted in Homoeopathy and dedicated his life to Homoeopathy.
